gloom unravels
to reveal the

canvas and the

Re-read the books you love
rather than hold yourself to a
curated list of dead white men.

Throw out the bathroom scale.
Order your own dessert.
Ignore the tiny numbers
on the menu boards.

Wear the blue leggings
with the tiny pineapples
underneath the dress
with the hem just brushing
your ample seat.

Don't give them five
more minutes. Stay or
leave on your own terms.

And if anybody asks why
tell them nunya damn business.
